Producer and Director. Learned Mime at the Japanese Mime Studio.In 2006, he stayed in France for a year as a trainee of rising artists, encouraged by the Agency for Cultural Affairs’ exchange program.

Later, he established the “Company Derashinera”. He uses lines (words) on Mime performances, which is very unique way of producing Mime performance, and has been paid attention from various generations of audience. Nowadays he also choreographs for musicals and dramas.

CAREER

1995 Established the performance theater “Mizu to Abura”(Water and Oil in Japanese)
2001 Won the “Herald Angel Prize” at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in the U.K.
2002 Hold tour in the U.K. (Brighton, Newbury and Eastleigh) as an invitation performance at the Brighton Festival
2003 Hold “CELLOPHANE SINGULAR” world tour (Korea, Belgium, France, Australia and Thailand)
2004 Hold invitation tour in the U.S. (New York, Middlebury, Indiana and Seattle)
2005 Produced the Pavilion Day at the Toyota Group, Expo 2005 in Aichi, Japan
2006 Stayed in France for a year as a trainee of rising artists, encouraged by the Agency for Cultural Affairs’ exchange program
2011 Took part in a play “Kinkakuji (The temple of golden pavilion)” directed by Amon Miyamoto as a choreographer at Lincoln Center Festival 2011
2012 Published his work “Romeo and Juliette” at Dance Triennale Tokyo 2012
Performed a work of Company Derashinera “Game” at the Japan Cultural Institute in Paris (Maison de la Culture du Japon à Paris)
2013 Published his outside theatre play “Little Mermaid” at Setouchi International Art Festival 2013
