She studied Satsuma Biwa under TANAKA Yukio while studying at Tokyo College of Music.She joined many overseas performances including in Hungary, Canada and the United States as a representative musician of Japanese traditional music. She has been trying to collaborate with many musicians ; she toured 40 cities in Japan with OGURA Kei, a famous Satsuma Biwa player, singer and composer and released DVD. She also appears on educational TV programs and conducts some actives to teach Satsuma Biwa in Kagoshima prefecture.


2000 Performed at the Heike Ochudo(defeated-soldier) Grand Festival in Yunishikawa and at the Exhibition event of the Rokuharamitsu-ji in Kyoto.
2001 Participated in the Budapest Japan Festival.
2002 Played at the dedication ceremony at the Akama Shrine Mimi-Nashi-Hoichi Festival in Dannoura.
2003 Performed at the dedication ceremony at the Akama Shrine Sentei Festival in Dannoura.
Participated in the Budapest Spring Festival
2008 Won the 1st prize in the Japan Biwa Music contest.
Received the Incentive Award of the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.
Won the NHK Chairman’s Award
2011 Participated in All America Art Model Festival APAP in New York as a representative of Japan.
2012 Organized, directed and performed “Mimi-Nashi-Hoichi” at Asia Society in Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Held a workshop at Juilliard School.
