Sasamoto is an artist based in New York. She went to the UK in her teens and then moved to the US to study art, dance, and sculpture. By having a interest in habits as a sign of psychological state and personality, she performs her creations inspired by people’s daily performance. She is one of the founders of the nonprofit organization “Culture Push” and currently works at Rutgers University, Columbia University and Yale University as a lecturer. There are a lot of collaborations with visual artists, musicians, choreographers, scientists, scholars and others in a wide range of fields, and she plays a variety of roles such as dancer, sculptor and director in her creations.
